MISTY ALDERMAN, a graduate of the Healing Arts Institute in Roseville, grew up in Angels Camp, CA and is now in Auburn helping run her aunt's and uncle's care home. She has practiced massage in Sacramento and Costa Rica. She gives a very nurturing relaxing, therapeutic massage, incorporating SWEDISH DEEP TISSUE, LOMI LOMI and AROMATHERAPY. She specializes in working out targeted muscular tension. Hours: Fri 3-8pm and Tues 10-2.
BERNADETTE COELHO, a native of Auburn, graduated from the Auburn School of Health and Wellness in 2004. She offers an intuitive touch, works with the physical & emotional needs of clients, and includes the following modalities: SWEDISH, DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE, HOT STONE WORK, SENIOR MASSAGE, & EAR CANDLING. Athletes note that Bernadette has extensive experience working with triathletes at the Auburn Triathlon and also guests at PrimalCon health&fitness retreats. She can go deep and address your injury and recovery concerns! Hours: Wed 10-7, Fri 10-3, Sat 11-6. On call most days.
LAURIE MILLAR , MS., CAS. PKS. Laurie uses MYOFASCIAL RELEASE techniques which are excellent for sports injuries, stress, headaches, frozen shoulder, sciatica and carpal tunnel syndrome. She is a graduate of Michigan State University with a masters degree in Human Nutrition, and she holds certificates in body therapies from the California College of Ayurveda and from the Phillips School of Massage. Laurie uses warm, herbalized oils and AYURVEDA techniques to gently detoxify the body and relax the mind. and to help clients feel totally balanced, and pain-free after a massage. Hours: Mon-Thursday, 10-3.
TANYA BENNETT trained in SWEDISH DEEP TISSUE and PAIN RELIEF THERAPY. She is particularly skilled in using effective stretching techniques to relieve a number of acute symptoms including lower back and shoulder and neck pain. Hours: Sun 11-6. On call Tues and Thurs.
ALISON GLENN, a longtime resident of Colfax, was trained by Judy Phillips in Nevada City, and she brings over 18 years of experience working and training with chiropractors and naturopathic doctors in medical massage and pain management. She is skilled in several modalities : SHIATSU, DEEP TISSUE, SPORTS INJURY THERAPY, SENIOR MASSAGE, PRENATAL MASSAGE, REFLEXOLOGY, AROMATHERAPY, HOT STONE, SWEDISH, and ENERGY WORK. Her loving and giving heart provides an overall experience of full body therapy and relaxation to serve the individualís highest good. Hours: Tues, Weds, Fridays 10-6, and some week ends.
SUZANNE ZAHROBSKY graduated from Heartwood Institute in 1996 with 900 hours of training in various modalities. Her focus is on Asian Healing Arts. She offers SWEDISH, AURICULAR THERAPY (ear acupressure), ZEN SHIATSU and ASHIATSU BAREFOOT MASSAGE. The essence of her work adopts an approach of listening to the body. Her work incorporates passive stretching, joint mobilization, and light to deep focused pressure as requested, in an integrative and intuitive style. Hours: Wed.10-3 p.m. and On Call
ALISHA CHAVEZ returns to Pathways after taking several years off to raise two healthy young boys. She is an Auburn native who graduated from teh Auurn School of Health and Wellness. Besides SWEDISH MASSAGE, she has trained in DEEP TISSUE THERAPY, and she also does EAR CANDLING> Her work is well-grounded and she has a focused, energetic approach. She also has experience working with the muscular recovery needs of fit specimens at PrimalCon retreats. Hours: Tues, Thurs, Fri 10-5. On call Monday 10am-5pm.
JOY CURRY (owner) began working at Pathways in 1990, three years before she and Jody became owners. She can be thanked for selecting the many wonderful therapists at Pathways. Her artwork can be seen on the wall at Pathways
JOEL “Jody” CURRY MSW, CMT (owner) came to body therapies from clinical social work where he learned to appreciate the value of stress relief. He trained with Judy Phillips at Phillips School of Massage, with Milton Albrecht & Ozzie Rentsch for Bowen Therapy & with Joseph Carter of the Berkeley Acupressure Institute.
Hours: Tues & Wed. 11-5:30.
