Therapists Bios

LORI BRETZ graduated from a 1000 hour massage certification in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1981.  She received her first of four REIKI levels and has been doing bodywork and REIKI continuously for 25 years, the last 22 at Pathways.  She was certified in ACUPRESSURE in 1995 and took post graduate courses from the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley.  She also does PRENATAL MASSAGE and BOWEN THERAPY. Hours:Tues-10-3,Thurs Reception, Friday 5-8 pm , Sunday 11-6

CAROLINE "LILLY" LAW, a graduate of Harbin School of Shiatsu & Massage (1989) offers an integrated-style session tailored to the concerns and preferences of each client.  SHIATSU (sustained pressure on Acu points w/stretches), AMMA (Japanese massage), ACUPRESSURE, DEEP TISSUE, REFLEXOLOGY,  QUANTUM TOUCH & THAI MASSAGE are all woven together with a Swedish style that is deeply relaxing. Hours: Fri 4-8 , Sat 10-8 

MISTY  ALDERMAN, a graduate of the Healing Arts Institute in Roseville, grew up in Angels Camp, CA and is now in Auburn helping run her aunt's and uncle's care home.  She has practiced massage in Sacramento and Costa Rica. She gives a very nurturing relaxing, therapeutic massage, incorporating SWEDISH DEEP TISSUE, LOMI LOMI and AROMATHERAPY. She specializes in working out targeted muscular tension.

Hours: Wed 2-8, Fri 10--4 On call most days  

SUZY ZAHROBSKY graduated from Heartwood Institute in 1996 with 900 hours of training in SWEDISH MASSAGE & PRENATAL MASSAGE, REFLEXOLOGY, AURICULAR THERAPY (ear acupressure), ZEN SHIATSU. ASHIATSU  BAREFOOT MASSAGE.  The essence of her work adopts an Eastern approach of listening to the body's energy.  Her work varies from light to deep focused pressure in an integrative and intuitive style. Hours: Fri 4-8, Sun 11- 6 pm.

BERNADETTE COELHO,  a native  of Auburn, graduated from the Auburn School of Health and Wellness in 2004.  She offers an intuitive touch,  works with the physical & emotional needs of clients, and includes the following modalities: SWEDISH, DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE, HOT STONE WORK, SENIOR MASSAGE, & EAR CANDLING. Hours: Wed 10-3     On call most days ,

DEBI CHAVEZ graduated from the National Holistic Institute in Emeryville, Ca. She brings 20 years of intensive bodywork  experience to her work.  Her predominant style is CORRECTIVE DEEP TISSUE EXTRACTION, and she incorporates ACUPRESSURE, SPORTS MASSAGE and INTUITIVE STYLE.  Her philosophy is to locate problems areas, provide relief through muscular education and to restore the body to a state of balance.

Hours:Tues 2-8, , Thurs 2-8, Friday 10-5 pm

HOLLY SOLLER  Office Coordinator, graduated from Northwestern College and  is certified in DEEP TISSUE SWEDISH, SHIATSU, PRENATAL, and TRIGGER POINT THERAPY.  She focuses on individual client's needs adn regulates her work to match the needs of her clients. Hours: Mon 3-8

CYNTHIA ZIMMERMAN, an Auburn native, attended the Healing Arts Institute in Roseville.  She has perfected SWEDISH MASSAGE  and SOFT TISSUE RELEASE for carpal tunnel, back and shoulder pain. She is also a LEVEL II REIKI practitioner. Hours: Mon 3-8, Sat 3-8 on call other days.

JESSICA DAWSON trained in SWEDISH and DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE at the Healing Arts Institute in Roseville. She is also a licensed
ESTHETICIAN and does soothing HERBAL FACIALS. Her concern for health, nutrition, and balanced living has inspired her to work on several organic farms, and led her to assisting clients in breathing, opening, releasing pain, and feeling a sense of peace. Hours: Reception fill-in and on-call for massage.

LAURIE MILLAR  , MS., CAS. PKS.  Laurie is a graduate of Michigan State University and was a registered dietitian for over 20 years before making the transition to wholistic medicine and body therapy. She has studied HERBOLOGY, SPORTS YOGA, ORTHOBIONOMY and AYRUVEDIC METHODS. She uses warm oils and herbs on the client while integrating MARMA POINT and LIFE IMPRESSIONS BODYWORK into a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating massage. Hours: Mon & Thur 10-3,  Fri 12-5.

ASHLEY FRALICK is a graduate of a 700 hour massage program in Maui, Hawaii. She uses healing and intuitive touch in combination with  SWEDISH, LOMI LOMI    

NEUROMUSCULAR THERAPY, DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE, and REFLEXOLOGY to ground and relax her clients. She is also certified in REIKI 1st degree. Hours: Mon, 2-8, Thurs. 3-8 . Sat 10-4, Sun 11-5

LAURA JOHNSON was born and raised in Auburn, CA and graduated from both The Body Isstitute & the Healing Arts Institute in Roseville. Laura applies an intuitive balance between DEEP TISUE MASSAGE, SWEDISH & SPORTS THERAPY. She also works with ESSENTIAL OILS (by request) & is certified in HOT STONE THERAPY. Hours: Mon 2-8, Thurs 3-8 & on-call all other days.

TANYA YUNG is trained in SWEDISH DEEP TISSUE and PAIN RELIEF THERAPY. She is particularly skilled in using effective stretching techniques to relieve a number of acute symptoms including lower back and neck pain. Hours: Tues 2-8, Sat 3-8

SHAUN BROWN has practiced bodywork therapy since 1993 and is certified in therapeutic massage from the Health Awareness Academy, Fair Oaks, Ca. Shaun’s bodywork is geared to people working in high stress environments; suffering from injuries due to a variety of causes as well as
clients who choose long term maintenance wellness. Hours Sat 12-6.

JOY CURRY (owner) is beginning her 20th year at Pathways. She serves as Pathways Therapist Resource Director, and she can be thanked for selecting the many wonderful therapists at Pathways. Her oil paintings and intuitive art can be seen at Pathways

JOEL “Jody” CURRY MSW, CMT (owner) Trained with Judy Phillips at Phillips School of Massage, and with Milton Albrecht & Ozzie Rentich for Bowen Therapy. He continues to do  ACUPRSURE, BOWEN THERAPY and  CHI-GUNG BASED MASSAGE.  Hours: Tues -Wed 11-5:30 pm.
